The LMYA Board of Directors awarded its first LMYA scholarships this spring to two deserving Emmaus High School seniors.  Scholarships in the amount of $500 each were awarded based upon their GPA, been accepted to a 2 or 4 year college, university, trade school or other post secondary school; completed at least four seasons (2 years) with LMYA and prepared an essay on how sports and LMYA influenced their lives.  Eighteen applications were received and each was considered by the full Board of Directors.  After deliberations, the Board voted to award its first LMYA scholarships to Kyle Merlo, who will be attending Ursinsus College this fall and Paige Thomas who will be attending Temple.  Congratulations to you both!!
